Hannah Emmert comes from a family of sailors. Her uncle was a BUDS sailor in the 1970s! She skippered 420s at the Ipswich Yacht Club on the North Shore. Most recently she has coached the Buckingham, Browne and Nichols School Varsity Sailing Team and taught evening sailing classes at BU. Hannah also has a professional background in education administration, fundraising, and event planning. She is excited to dive into her first season with BUDS and continue to expand the sailing program at BU!

Dave has been coaching, instructing and teaching sailing for over 25 years. He currently is a program director for Wild Harbor Sailing, a non-profit organization situated on Buzzards Bay in Falmouth, Massachusetts. He is also a masters student at BU taking courses for his masters of social work degree and plans to work with youth & families in the future. Over the years, Dave has coached both high school and college sailing and notably led his team at the University of South Florida to a 4th place finish at Team Race nationals in 2006. In the past, Dave has been an IT for US Sailing, Powerboat Trainer and PRO for olympic hopefuls. While not on the water, Dave is a talented singer and uncle to 12 nieces & nephews.
