Head Coach
Carter Brock
Carter Brock took over as head coach of the Boston University Sailing Team in Spring 2025. He comes to BU after stints as sailing director at Alamitos Bay Yacht Club in Long Beach, CA and as an assistant varsity coach at MIT. Carter is a US Sailing Level 2 certified coach and a 2022 graduate of Northeastern University, where he served as captain in 2021 and 2022. In his first season at BU, the Terriers received an at-large bid to the ICSA National Championship in Women’s Fleet Racing.
Assistant Coach
Rob Dexter
Rob Dexter is BU sailing class of '80, and is entering his third season as an assistant coach for the BUDS. He grew up sailing in New Jersey, and now is active in the Thistle class. Rob's passion for sailing is infectious, and his expertise has been instrumental in elevating the BUDS these past three seasons. He looks forward to going to back to another National Championship!
